Akira Torrijos has been a member and advocate of the marching arts for several years, performing with drum corps such as Bluecoats, Mandarins, and Fever, and indoor lines with Pulse Percussion, POW Percussion and Freelancers.
He has taught for multiple high level ensembles including: Bluecoats, Pacific Crest, Carolina Crown, Pulse Percussion, POW Percussion, and Gold Indoor. He is currently a visual instructor for the Boston Crusaders.
Akira has gone to design drill, choreography, and show concepts for several groups around the Southern California area including: Golden Empire, POW Percussion, Gold Indoor, Mira Costa High School, and Pacifica High School. Most recently his designs have won 1st place at SCPA finals in both the Scholastic Open and A class.
